Halberstadt Dusterngraben - Hotel

The architectural treatment of the Dom Hotel front facade is an essay in modernism in a historic setting. Its forecourt facing the cathedral west front is enclosed with a low collonade, whilst the main reception spaces are housed in a stone cuboid form with large viewing windows and a central 'spire' skylight. Individual hotel rooms are expressed at high level on the rear block as compact gabled forms that reflect the local typology.
